I was thrilled to attend my Ph.D. grauduation commencement in Merced, CA. It was the first time that the commencement being held in the Merced Theater downtown Merced. It was great to see so many familiar faces again, just like being back home. It was touching to me when we graduates walked in to the theater in a line receiving the warm clapping from the professors and staff standing on the stairs as well as from the family and friends in the audience. At that moment, I felt like I was the center of the world and I did acommplished something in the past few years as a Ph.D. student.
