I am so excited to receive this approval letter for my green card application today! I submitted my application in september in 2022 and got approved in only 4 months. The processing speed was suprisingly fast! I thought it would take about one year according to the experience of many other people.
Although my I-140 application has been approved, it doesn’t mean that I have got my green card. Instead, I will need to wait until the immagration department’s final action date to arrive at my priority date (September 13, 2022) to submit my I-485 form to adjust my status and finally get the card. Right now the final action date is June of 2019, which means I will need to wait for at least 3-4 years.
Anyway, it is a great leap forward, the rest is just a matter of time. I will be patient.
