Welcome to my website! My Chinese name is Quanpeng Yang (\u6768\u5168\u9e4f), and my English name is Samtari which was made up by myself by reordering the letters in &#8220;I am astr. (astronaut or astronomer)&#8221;, because I have always been dreaming to be a scientist exploring the unknown world! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University under the guidance of Prof. Yaroslava Yingling. Before that I was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University under the guidance of Prof. Gaurav Arya. Before that, I graduated with a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering under Prof. Ashlie Martini&#8217;s supervision at the University of California, Merced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My motto is the famous slogan of Nike:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Just do it!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe most people have the potential to achieve most of the things they want to achieve as long as they use the right methods and work hard.
